About yours truly
I have always loved writing and history. When I heard that UNC Chapel Hill had an American Studies department, I knew that this school would challenge and interest me like none other. I am majoring American Studies with a concentration in Southern Studies, and minoring in Creative Writing. My freshman year at UNC introduced me to the UNC Workroom program, and Coulture, a student-founded and student-staffed fashion magazine. Getting a hands-on experience in the fashion world has opened my eyes to different cultures and backgrounds, and I plan to move to NYC after graduation as a fashion magazine and novel writer.
From 2015 - 2016, I interned with Girls' Life Magazine, located in Baltimore, Maryland, writing online articles and having an interview published in an issue. I have spent five years writing and editing a novel that I hope to publish in the near future. The Pastel Typewriter is the next step in expanding my resume and honing my writing skills. |
