fashion, lifestyle, and career blog
I was born to write. My entire life, I have had a passion for stories, characters, and the way they make you feel. When you read my pieces, if you come away having smiled, shed a tear, or felt a strong something that only art can conjure, than I have done my job. Artists have the honor of translating the pain and beauty of the human experience into something profound and tangible, and I hope that by reading my work, you get a glimpse into what drives me, what my passions are, and what I'm living for.
Spring Lookbook + My #1 Tip for never running out of outfits

GIRL POWER
We Need to Talk About // 2.11.19
So I have this obsession right now with putting outfits together that should maybe not go together...
London adventures: Oxford and Stratford
London // 1.28.19
Day trips have been a lovely way of seeing the country while paying a refreshingly low price. I've taken two trips so far so let's break this post into two parts.
London so far...
London // 1.18.19
It is 9:51pm here in London as I write this. I'm laying bed having eaten 7 Jiffy Cakes while watching the series finale of Once Upon a Time. Today was the end of my first week at King's, as well as my first week at my internship. Life is going pretty well.

Jesus // 11.16.18
So, I love Sadie Robertson. A lot. I've been following her career since maybe 2013, when Duck Dynasty was in full swing. I watched her dance on Dancing with the Stars, I bought her book and her school supplies, and I even drove seven hours to meet her at a book signing in Charlotte.
my weekend in the mountains
Autumn // 11.09.18
My family recently took a very relaxing trip to the mountains. We hiked, we watched Netflix, we played board games, and it was amazing. I thought I could show you, better than tell you, about the experience! Take a peek below.
Two fall outfits
Fashion and Beauty // Autumn // 11.01.18
I ended up going to the fair twice this year (my heart was happy, my wallet was not). I wore two comfy and cute outfits that I thought I'd share! *Disclaimer: I'm not quite sure how to do posts like this so I guess we're figuring it out together.*
Two easy fall recipes
Food // Autumn // October 13, 2018
I love to cook. There's something about cutting vegetables and figuring out sauces and spices that is very, very therapeutic -- right? Below, I've included the recipes of two really good meals I fixed recently. Let me know what you think!
Why 'you say' is the song i needed to hear
Digging Deeper // September 1, 2018
I've been struggling a lot lately. (real talk: aren't we all?) I've been feeling inadequate, and unlovable, and just an overall sucky person. Wow. That got deep fast. The most annoying part of feeling that way is that it always comes right after feeling like I am on top of the world and nothing can stop me. If there is one thing that I have learned since coming to college, it is that Jesus is consistent when my emotions are not. (AKA all the time).
Summer bucket list
Monthly Favorites // July 26, 2018
On today's post, I am including some things I am hoping to do as Summer wraps up, as well as a list of summery things I'm thankful for. The latter is something that my discipler at school and I talked about this past semester. She talked to me about how when she finds herself complaining or facing anxiety, she makes random lists of things she's thankful for. I have done it and it immediately lifts my mood! Try it sometime.
my everyday makeup tutorial
Fashion and Beauty // May 21, 2018
I've always preferred natural makeup, and usually I change up my lipstick for a fancy evening. While I do enjoy playing with makeup, I don't think that it's the end all be all for feeling beautiful. Everyone should feel as good without makeup as they do with it, which is a lot easier said than done, and I am no exception. Nevertheless, maybe this look will inspire you!
THE IMPORTANCE OF A RESTFUL DAY
APRIL 21, 2018
Restful Sundays are one of the best things I have incorporated into my routine. Albeit, this semester, I haven't been great about keeping up with it, and I can see the effects on my mood.
Ezra 9:9
DIGGING DEEPER // MARCH 2, 2018
I came across this verse recently during my devotion, and it really caught my attention.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT // JANUARY 12, 2018
You're probably familiar with some of the biggest titles in entertainment recently: Dear Evan Hansen, 13 Reasons Why and even lesser-known movies such as Netflix's A Girl Like Her. (I watched A Girl Like Her last week and it WRECKED me.)
HOW TO BE CHRISTMAS-Y IN COLLEGE
CHRISTMAS // WRITING // DECEMBER 3, 2017
It is that time of year again, folks. Hot chocolate, snow, the scent of evergreen. I am SO EXCITED y’all you have no idea. Christmas is my favorite time of year, without a doubt. There’s something about being with your family, fireplaces and cozy blankets, and the feeling that for a few weeks, the whole world is at peace (even though I know that isn’t always the case).
New York City -- October 2017
WRITING // NOVEMBER 12,2017
Last month, I travelled to New York City, and while this was my fourth trip, it was wildly different than any I had taken before.

ABOUT ME
I have never wanted to be anything except a writer. I am hardwired for storytelling.
Whenever I'm I'm not doing homework (free time? Who is she?), I can be found reading, watching Netflix, or hanging out with all my lovely housemates. I have an undying love for Christ, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Christmas. |
Why Writing?Writing // September 17, 2017
When I was little, my favorite activity was time travel. I always longed to be transported by books and movies, to lose touch with reality for just long enough. All the way up through high school, when I needed an escape, all I had to do was crack the cover of a beloved novel and jump into another world.
